Steve Barnes serves as Chief Financial Officer, leading Accolade’s finance and accounting organization, investor relations, and corporate development functions.
Prior to Accolade, Barnes served as CFO and President of Energy Plus Holdings, which was acquired by NRG, where he held leadership roles in finance, strategy, and mergers & acquisitions. Prior to that, Barnes was Managing Director and CFO at Novitas Capital. He began his career as a CPA with KPMG.
Barnes earned his Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Villanova University. He serves on the Board of Consultors of the Villanova University M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing. He also serves on the board of LiveConnections, a non-profit that brings music experiences to diverse audiences through live performances and interactive education.
